1st grade Bronx teaching artist theatre writing artist singing Burnside Ave PS/MS 279 2nd grade Ethan Hawke 3rd grade hero guitar music Students heroes journey teacher song poetry CWPNYCStudents at PS/MS 279 performed poetry and song in celebration of their Heroes Journey for their families and peers. The CWP classes were inspired by Ethan Hawke's book, Rules for a Knight. The classes shared the first 10 Rules for a Knight along with the gestures they created to go with each rule.
The culmination spotlighted samples of individual student's poetry as well as one of the class's community poems.
As a community, their opening Bach inspired movement warm up and the Hero's Journey song were performed. CWP is very proud of our young Knights at PS/MS 279.
